First time in years we got the fish box it did me and my hubby lunch and tea even the dog some fish was so fresh it melted in your mouth chips were ok

For many years, this place has had a reputation as one of the best chippies in the area, and the current owners have kept those high standards. The fish is particularly good, cooked to order, always lovely and fresh. Portions are generous and the staff are always friendly. You won't find a better fish and chip shop in Seaham.

Absolutely lush fish and chips. We travel from South Shields, park up round the corner in the camper van and fill our boots. Traditional and authentic fish and chips unlike some anemic efforts in Shields! Amazing.

First visit in a long time. Have to say the shop was busy but the staff had a system in place which meant the queue was quickly moving. The food also was a delight. A highlight for my partner was they sold bottles of sasparilla something he hadn't seen in years. The fish was perfectly cooked and the portion size was perfect for everyone. We will be back.

The food comes in cardboard containers, so no need for plates.
The food is delicious, batter crisp, and melts in the mouth. The fish is full of flavour. Moist and large Lilly white flakes of fresh cod.
The chips were cooked to perfection in clean oil, and they tasted amazing, with lots of salt and vinegar. And scraps of course.
Peas are old fashioned "steady peas" well seasoned and and not to sloppy.
We have been here twice now, and will make this our go to "chippy"First time trying this place and I wasn't disappointed. Had large Cod and Chips and the Cod was cooked perfectly, Chips were great too. I will definitely pop in again next time I'm in the area.

Fish and chips made to order, nice crisp batter on lovely white fish. Excellent value for money served by friendly people.
Lovely fish shop with reasonably priced food which is not easy with the price of everything going up. Staff are very friendly and the place was clean and tidy.
